Fall 2019 Newsletter

Hello valued Brixton friend,

As we transition from summer to fall, we look back on some great family memories made and new developments for Brixton. We were busy with real estate at the beginning and then spent a good chunk of time traveling, and spending time with family and friends. The Morrisons had adventures that took us across the country in multiple directions from Texas, to Ohio, to Montana and back.  We broke in our new travel trailer and had many adventures along the way.  Eva and Ellie are great campers and entertainers.  We hosted a huge 4th of July party, had our first soccer tournament in Steamboat, and had visitors from all over the country and globe.  It was a record setting summer of fun and now we’re back to business and school.

2018 was a record year for Brixton putting us in the Top 100 Brokers for 2018 in the Denver metro area.  As we moved into 2019, we saw a building and adjusting year for upcoming projects and an adapting marketplace.  Our market is still in Seller’s territory, but we have been watching a slow plateau for the last 18 months.  The market stabilizes once we see a steady trend, but luckily no major changes that have drastically slowed the market.  We will continue to watch for trends and report back to you.

The cooling off of the market this past year is no longer a trend.  In Denver and surrounding areas we are watching prices settle for houses and condos.  The market is still aggressive and competitive for buyers below $500K.  As the pricing median settles around $500K for homes, we are watching homes with pricing above $500K and up to $1M settle and adjust lower.  This is showing a space for buyers to get better deals on higher priced homes than we have seen in the past few years.  The trend has not moved the Denver metro area into a bullish buyers market, but we anticipate seeing more opportunities for buyers in 2020 to get better value and terms with their contract negotiations.  Contact us here if you are considering buying or selling so we can help you narrow in on the best strategy to get the best value for you!

Adriana Fisher has spent the last three years as a Real Estate Transaction Assistant and on September 27th passed her licensing exam!  She has helped with over 50 successful transactions in the past few years, and now will be able to help clients and brokers as a licensed broker.  We are so proud of her hard work and dedication.  Adriana is a team player with phenomenal customer care!  We are excited to see what she takes on next as a Colorado licensed broker.  Congratulations Adriana!!
