This is one of Brixton’s favorite hot hoods located in north Denver. The proximity to all of Denver’s main attractions is hard to beat! Elitch Gardens, The Children’s Museum, The Aquarium, The Pepsi center, and Sports Authority Field are located within the neighborhood or just minutes away. The boundaries run from Speer Boulevard to the North, Platte River to the East, Colfax to the South and Federal to the East.
This has not always been a popular place to live. Just a few short years ago this neighborhood caught the attention of the city because of its proximity to attractions and is now one of the hottest neighborhoods in Denver. The community is experiencing a boom in residential and commercial real estate.
One of our favorites places to eat in this neighborhood is Sassafras American Eatery so be sure to check it out if you’re in the area!

Believe it or not this neighborhood was the original “Highlands”. In 1896 it was renamed “North Denver” but as soon as the city grew too large to be deemed all of north Denver it took on the name Jefferson Park after the large park within the neighborhood. This park was named after Thomas Jefferson.
